The Aspired Collection

From classroom corners to community libraries, I write to turn dates into people and places into practice. My Black History activity books invite kids to ask questions, connect ideas to real lives, and learn through reading, writing, art, and discussion. I pursue rigorous research, clear explanations, and thoughtful design to create learning tools that are accessible, warm, and honest. By prelaunching with a cover preview and a brief description, I invite families, teachers, and librarians to shape the book with me. Sign up to preorder and you'll receive an exclusive early look at the cover plus a printable mini-activity pack to enjoy while you wait.

Inquiry as Practice at The aspired Collection

I am The aspired Collection, an independent author dedicated to children's educational publishing with a focus on Black history-themed activity books. My work treats history as a living conversation rather than a parade of names and dates. I write and design hands-on books that pair short narratives with purposeful activities—drawing, journaling prompts, and small research tasks—so children connect ideas to real people and communities. The aim is to support literacy, critical thinking, and creative expression by weaving reading, writing, art, and discussion into a coherent arc. I prioritize historical accuracy, trace sources, foreground diverse voices, and examine bias. Content decisions are made in collaboration with educators, historians, and families to stay faithful to learning needs in classrooms, libraries, and homes. I coordinate illustration and layout to harmonize visuals with concepts and ensure pages invite curiosity without overwhelming the reader. The output is a navigable learning companion that supports inquiry at the learner's pace. The prelaunch practice—sharing a cover preview and a brief description—invites the learning community to participate in shaping the work from the start. Core values: rigor with accessibility, integrity in sourcing, and learning as exploration.
